Coaching people to success, and doing it euphorically, is my ikigai*, my raison d'etre. All my life, I have had a passion to develop people and help them overcome obstacles.
I was first trained by my mother who ran her own education business to teach and coach since I was 7 years old. At 17 years old, I started to teach and coach children from low to middle income households. I started with just four students and by the end of the year, I was juggling forty students while helping dad to run his real estate business. They just kept coming for the next 10 years! (All by word of mouth.)
My love for Mathematics and Behavioral Economics got me a job with Gallup. At Gallup, I had the opportunity to work with global leaders, psychologists, researchers, subject matter experts, consultants and coaches. For 6 years, I was coached and developed to expand and play to my strengths. I have been very fortunate to be coached, trained and certified by Gallup's very own CliftonStrengths guru, Curt Liesveld, who passed away a year later. He trained me on his first and only ever visit to Singapore. Curt told me at the end of the training, "Dahlia, you are made for this. You gotta believe it." And so did many others, including my clients. I made a vow that I will continue to live his legacy and share his positive light. Since becoming a coach myself, I have been working with hundreds of clients and honed the craft of helping people build the private and professional life they want and deserve. Launching Euphoric Coaching has allowed me to focus 100% on this passion and strength of mine - I would be thrilled to help you find out where your passions and strengths lie!
Besides believing that I am born to coach, I also believe that I am born to dance and do martial arts. In my element - the best and joyful version of me can also be found while I am latin dancing, belly dancing, rolling some punches training Muay Thai and grappling on the mat training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Latin dancing is a talent I discovered after watching the movie Dirty Dancing. I responded to my calling the following week, I boldly walked into a social salsa dance event, approached the most dashing Cuban dancer and confidently asked him to take the lead. I was so natural and it felt so familiar! I haven’t stopped dancing since then for 20 years now. Martial arts is my foundation during my childhood development. I was coached by three elder siblings who were black belt Tae Kwon Do martial artists. I was taught the principles of martial arts and how they aligned with our family values. I found my true passion in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and now a member of the Evolve Mixed Martial Arts Academy. I have travelled the world to dance salsa and train martial arts.
*‘Ikigai’ is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being" that brings satisfaction and meaning to life. Everyone, according to Japanese culture, has an ikigai. Finding it requires a deep and often lengthy search of self.

All my life, I was intrigued with break-throughs. I always loved the feeling of getting to a point of my development that I had thought I could not reach. Learning a new skill, speaking a new language, overcoming an obstacle that had seemed too high - all this filled me with euphoria and wonder, it made me want to go after the next challenge.
Early in my career, I noticed that I got the same kick out of helping others reach the next level. I found it exciting to develop break-through strategies for friends and colleagues, so they could become more content in life and more successful in their careers. When I joined Gallup and discovered the CliftonStrengths tool I then felt like I had found the missing piece that allowed me to be more effective in catalysing development: with a person’s Strengths profile the creation of development strategies was immediately more effective, as they could be tailored to a person’s individual talents and motivation drivers.
For over 7 years, I worked at Gallup, the creators of CliftonStrengths, as a strategy and public policy consultant. During this period I extensively used Strengths in interactions with my clients and colleagues. My coaching work is strongly based on best practices and case studies gleaned from this professional experience. Overall, I have now been coaching teams and individuals across the world for over 10 years. I worked with leaders in Asia, Europe and North America and have created many Strengths-based programs for teams, ranging from introductory sessions familiarising participants with the StrengthsFinder concept to long-term programs establishing Strengths as an operating system for colleague interaction across large organisations.
My #6 Talent Theme is Connectedness - and I make ample use of it, combining findings from various domains into coaching strategies that work. Our life satisfaction and performance at are a combination of various factors: how we apply our talents, how we manage our emotions, how our health allows us to function at full throttle - and many other aspects. In order to always find the best solution for a client’s goals and challenges, I therefore look for holistic approaches to a person’s development and stay up to date following the latest findings in, among others,
A client of mine once said that I have an “insatiable desire to identify, explore and develop an individual’s unique potential for success”. Get in touch if you want me to use this passion to achieve the next break-through for you and your team!

I am a strengths-based talent and leadership development coach helping individuals and teams understand and maximize their strengths to become the best version of themselves. I enjoy connecting with diverse individuals from various ages and backgrounds, which gives me an opportunity to learn from and be inspired by them.
I particularly have a keen interest in youth development for the reason that I belief that youths have the potential to make dynamic and rapid changes in any area they put their heart out to. I have been involved in youth leadership training and guidance programmes for over 10 years primarily through the grassroots movement and have been involved in organising initiatives that had an accumulated outreach of over 3000 youths.
I was also a Student Learning Advisor Mentor, coaching undergraduate students while completing my postgraduate studies at RMIT, and have been involved in the RMIT's global students career mentoring programme as one of the pioneer mentors since 2014.
